Mantegazza Formaggi: 80 years of history and tradition

From carts delivering fresh cheeses to international trade: a story spanning more than 80 years.

The company founded by Luigi and Federico Mantegazza in 1936 recently celebrated 80 years of activity. Mantegazza Formaggi S.p.A started by selling local dairy products — butter, ricotta and small fresh cheeses — from carts near the weekly markets of the Varese province, and has grown into a business selling cheeses that represent the very best of Italian Made in Italy, from north to south.

The company, which has always been built on the values of Selection, Knowledge and Tradition, holds important recognition both in Italy and across Europe, where it is well known and respected for the quality of its work.

Services and structure

Today Mantegazza Formaggi offers its customers a wide range of services: from product storage in 15 refrigerated cells, to portioning and packaging carried out in a laboratory that, following a renovation with state-of-the-art machinery, is now equipped to fulfil any customer request.

Transport and full product traceability are equally central to operations at the Lozza warehouse.

Three generations, one vision

The business, today led by Luigi's sons Dante and Alberto, has also welcomed the third generation represented by Niccolò and Andrea. The company is now ready for a new chapter, staying true to the values and expertise that have defined it throughout its history.
